Colour & Movement: A Celebrity Portrait Session with Cherry Healey for Women’s Fitness

When Women's Fitness Magazine commissioned me to shoot their cover story with Cherry Healey, I knew we needed to create something special that would work both on newsstands and within the magazine's pages. Setting up my portable studio at Cherry's London home gave our celebrity portrait session a relaxed, authentic feel - and Cherry brought incredible energy to every shot, making the whole day an absolute joy.

Working alongside celebrity creative director and makeup artist Cinta Miller from Cinta London (known for her work with Anne-Marie and Tom Grennan) elevated the shoot to another level. As a celebrity photographer when doing a mix of cover shots and photos for the main interview, I love when a shoot can move between polished cover shots and natural editorial moments.

We played with a mix of backgrounds - from clean grey for the cover to vibrant blues and pinks that perfectly complemented Cherry's infectious enthusiasm. Using props from her own fitness routine - pink boxing gloves and skipping ropes - helped capture genuine moments of movement and joy that went beyond traditional celebrity portraits.
