Riverstation, Bristol Wedding : James and Angie7

Angie and James had their fabulous wedding at Riverstation, a gorgeous restaurant/bar venue right on the dockside in Bristol. I was especially excited at the prospect of the bride and groom creative session because the venue is so close to Bristol’s vintage railway and dock cranes and I knew as long as the weather held that it would be brilliant for photos!

The fab Sarah Vivienne, who was helping me for the day, and I arrived to start taking getting ready photos at Angie and James’ gorgeous flat in Clifton – I’d not been inside before, and was so taken aback at how stunning it was with 360 degree views across the city. White walls and filled with lots of light – ideal conditions for us photographers!

I loved Angie’s beautiful 1940s-look Long Jean Alice Temperley dress, it was so unusual and made for stunning photos from front and back. It was also lovely to capture Angie’s expression as she saw out of the window the vintage car that her parents had organised for her and James as a surprise for the day! :)

After finally beating the Bristol traffic, we arrived at Riverstation. The ceremony was lovely – filled with laughter, really relaxed and intimate.

We shot some family groups at next door Severnshed, and then headed to the docks to get creative! It was really fun to be able to get some really unusual portraits during a real wedding – often I only get to visit industrial or quirky locations if I’m going to do a bridal fashion shoot – so it was a real treat!

Your Bristol & Somerset Wedding Magazine – Cover!

I was really pleased to find out that one of my summer brides Anna made the front cover of Your Bristol & Somerset Wedding Magazine this month! I knew immediately after taking these photos of Anna that she would make an amazing cover girl and I was proved right :)

This image was photographed at the lovely Notley Abbey.

What they‘re saying

"Rosie has taken some fabulous shots of The Utterly Sexy Café at work as we cater for our brides and grooms. The attention to detail, the close ups, the angles and the colour all go to creating a lovely old vintage feel. Her photographs are breathtaking, inspirational and magical. "
