Hurrah, this month’s Your Bristol and Somerset Wedding Magazine features one of my brides Shan Fisher as their gorgeous cover girl!

John Burton Race and Devon Life Magazine
About a month ago I headed down to Dartmouth to photograph celebrity chef John Burton Race for my first Devon Life Magazine assignment.
I got to sit in on the interview John did with Devon Life journalist Harriet Mellor which was insightful and fun, and then we had a great time shooting some photos down on his boat in the Dart Marina along with John’s film crew! During the interview and photoshoot John was filming for a Channel Five series called Celebrity Quitters, which has just started airing this week on Tuesday nights. I was also filmed (yikes!) while shooting my portraits for the magazine, so my good self may even make an appearance later in the series!!
The interview with John is a six page feature and is published in the current issue of Devon Life Magazine, which is out now!
Real Life Weddings in Cosmo Bride
It’s always lovely to see photographs from real life weddings featured as inspiration for future brides, and this month two of my weddings from 2009 are in fab wedding magazine Cosmo Bride!
Vicky and Adam who had their glorious 1920s art deco wedding at Treowen House are featured, followed by the colourful wedding of Shella and Derek who got married in Henley on Thames in September.
If you’re eagle-eyed, you may also spot me in a couple of other places in the magazine as I photographed the images for the interview with Kat from Rock n Roll Bride, and I’m interviewed as part of Cosmo’s article on “Learn to Love the Camera”! ![]()

Vintage Wedding Inspiration Featured on Rock n Roll Bride!
Yay! Always great to get nice feedback, and Kat from the infamous UK rockin’ wedding portal that is RocknRollBride.com loved the 1920s vintage bridal shoot Vicky and I did a couple of weeks ago.
Check out what she said at http://www.rocknrollbride.com/2009/12/1920s-glamour-puss/

Your Bristol & Somerset Wedding Magazine – Cover!
I was really pleased to find out that one of my summer brides Anna made the front cover of Your Bristol & Somerset Wedding Magazine this month! I knew immediately after taking these photos of Anna that she would make an amazing cover girl and I was proved right

New cover shot!
Just seen my latest cover shot from Your Surrey Wedding Magazine – it’s of Ruth who got married to Mike earlier this summer, and doesn’t she look absolutely gorgeous!
Available in all Surrey based WHSmith’s now! Yay!
Wedding at Rowton Castle – David and Shan
I really enjoyed heading up past Birmingham to deepest mid-Wales last week for the lovely Shan and David’s wedding at St Bridget’s Church, Llansantffraid and Rowton Castle near Shrewsbury.
I travelled up the day before to visit Rowton Castle with Shan and then headed on to the rehearsal and rehearsal dinner at David’s parents, which I had kindly been invited to. It was really fab as I was staying up there to be involved in all the family celebrations and to get to know all the VIPs! I even made some good new friends including the wonderful Sonja and Ben, who were staying in the same B&B as me and had just returned from traveling around Australia and Laos (lucky them!).
The wedding day was lovely – the weather was variable, but fortunately the sunshine held in all the right places, and we were able to get some great shots on the bridge where David proposed.
Cantley House Hotel, Wokingham wedding – Anne and Jonathan
It was back to Wokingham and the Cantley House Hotel, very closeby to where the recently blogged Kat and Rob’s wedding was, a couple of weeks ago to photograph Anne and Jonathan’s fantastic big day.
The weather was perfect, Anne looked amazing and there was a really nice chilled out family atmosphere for the whole day. It was definitely great to be able to enjoy the outdoor space at Cantley House, especially as it meant a friend was able to go and collect Anne and Jonathan’s fab dalmatian Nelson to be in a couple of pics!
Treowen House 1920s wedding : Part Two!
Just editing a few more of Adam and Vicky’s big day at Treowen House in Monmouthshire, and there are so many fun shots of all the 1920s details and imaginative ideas that I just had to share a few more!
Clara Bows Vintage Crockery Shoot
If you’re planning a vintage themed wedding the place to head for a dash of inspiration is the blog of Bristol-based Clara Bows, who herself is getting married in just about ten days time!
I love checking out all her latest posts, especially as she has tutorials on hosting a 1920s themed event – including hairstyles, makeup, dresses etc, which is great if like me you wouldn’t really know where to start! Clara B also helpfully hires out her amazing assortment of vintage crockery for weddings and other events that fancy having something unique and fun!
