My new project : The Photography Parlour

I’m very excited to share with you what I’ve been working very hard on for the last couple of months! I’ve always thought there wasn’t that much community and support for fledgling professional photographers, and when you’re starting out it’s so important to get advice and connected. That’s why I started The Photography Parlour –...

Published in the Daily Express!

Yey! Today I had one of my images published in the Daily Express – the feature was on the lovely Kat Williams from Rock n Roll Bride, who I photographed last year, about running her own business.

Congrats Kat on a fantastic piece!

Mad Hatters Teaparty at Bake-a-Boo, London!

On Sunday I photographed Vicky’s Mad Hatter Fascinator Workshop at the gorgeous London teashop Bake-a-Boo, in Hampstead.

It was a riotous affair, with a troupe of hens plus bride, several brides to be and the lovely Miranda, Editor of Cosmo Bride all in attendance to make fine millinery creations.

Bake-a-Boo was the most fantastic location for the afternoon, I’ve never seen such a wonderful tearoom and definitely want to take my Mum back there for a lovely afternoon tea when next in London! They had gone to town with the Mad Hatter theme, and had fab biscuits in the shape of white rabbits, jam tarts and all manner of Alice in Wonderland type goodies! Vicky’s pal Alex had also used her talents to make some great ‘eat me’ and ‘drink me’ tags.

For more information on Vicky’s fascinator workshops which happen across the UK and are perfect for hen dos and other fun afternoons check out her website www.clarabows.co.uk

Sketch London – Recommended Wedding Photographer

Yesterday I was at my favourite London wedding venue Sketch on Conduit Street. Filled with fantastic rooms with quirky and imaginative interiors, If I had an unlimited budget I would design my own home to look the same. Awesome cool lampshades with skulls on, huge industrial sculptures of light, paint flowing down the stairs and intriguing pieces of modern art all over the place – it’s a fabulous venue for any special occasion but even more amazing for wedding photos!

I’ve been a recommended wedding photographer at Sketch for a few months now, and the shoot took place around the building just before they opened for dinner. Most of the rooms don’t see much natural light, so my flashgun was put to good use! The images will be used by their PR and marketing department.
